About The Event
Equal Opportunities Through Community Partnership
The Pelican Project is proud to support Out There Together’s “Fringe Fest”, a celebration of queer culture, community and advocacy. This exhibition now available to see at Positive Light's Project, brings the work of Pelican artists into that celebration.
Working with Pigment Organic Dyes CIC, artists from the learning-disabled community created these works through colour, texture and sensory expression. Pigment’s commitment to environmentally sustainable practice, inclusive creativity and the celebration of difference made them a natural partner for the project.
Created by artists with diverse ways of communicating, creating and moving through the world, this collaboration expresses the power of marginalised communities to shape culture. It is a meeting of artistic practices and shared values. It is belonging made visible in the heart of our city.
